Team Cusco Cocnuts have landed!

 Updated July 15 with photos
Mateo:

Team Cusco Coconuts have scored in Cusco.  We  have been in  Cusco  for twenty-four hours. We are tired, dead, dying and excited.Today, we are going to the market and need to get some Inca Kola and some clothes too.

So after we made touch down in Cusco, it was really cool to see all the new buildings and streets and to see the difference between the buildings here and back home. For example, most of the buildings here are armoured-the windows are barred. The way people drive here...if you are crossing a road, the cars won't stop for you. And also, you can't go five minutes without people coming up to you and begging for money or asking you to purchase something.

The hostel we are staying in is really nice. It has bunk beds and I noticed here that the top bunks do not have  rails, no guards, so you want to not fall off them. But if you do, you are going to end up sore like me. Also, I'm still getting use to the entire you-can't-drink-tap-water-thing.

I am excited for the rest of the things that we are going to do in Peru. I can't wait to go to Machu Picchu and take credit for "refinding" it again...just like Hiriam Bingham.  June 28, 2016
Here are some photos of Cusco.

  1. Hola Mateo! Glad you made it to Cusco safely. Cars do not watch out for people in south America so stay alert. Have you tried any new foods yet?
Have fun exploring and enjoy the Inca Kola! Looking forward to reading about you 'refinding' Machu Picchu! Big hugs. Trixie :)
